Perhaps a nandina would be a good replacement for the hibiscus next to the front door which is showing no sign of recovery.

One of the new pots of tulips. Very successful. The arabis is nice too.

I forgot to cut back the old foliage a few weeks ago (the crazy weather didn’t help), but the flowers have come through well.

It’s been slow to get going, but the flowers are lovely, and very welcome, particularly at this time of year.

I thought this wasn’t doing well, and I still think it’s perhaps planted too deep, but it’s clearly still alive.

It’s always hard to cut back a plant that’s doing really well, particularly when it’s in full flower, but it really was getting rather big, and it should recover.
